Soft Raw Carrot Bread

Updated: Apr 5, 2018

So here's a little RAWsome for you and one of my all-time favorite... favorite things to eat. When I tell you it hits you with a punch of flavors and not to mention the energy you get from eating this!! As many of you know I eat mostly RAW not 100% but most of my meals are RAW and I would love to share some of those dies with you, and this one comes to mind. It's a great way to utilize your carrot pulp after making juice or doing a juice fast.

This recipe is so easy to make, the only downside is waiting for that bread :D

So I hope you enjoy and do come back and let me know what you think after trying this!

Soft Raw carrot bread

ingredients

  • 1/2 onion

  • 3 tomatoes

  • 2 1/2 firmly pressed cups carrot pulp

  • 1/3- to 1/2 cup flax seeds crushed

  • 1/8 cup of dehydrated onion

  • 1 tsp black seeds 1/2 tsp salt 1 pinch black pepper

directions

1. Add all ingredients to the food processor and mix until creamy.

2. Spread the mixture on a Non-stick Teflon, on your dehydrator tray and slowly with a butter knife or a spoon, shape to a flatbread about 1/4 inch and dehydrate. ( this will make more than one tray of carrot bread. ) But really it's up to you how thick or how thin you want it. That will also affect the drying time.

3. With the blunt end of you knife cut the shape of your bread I make even squares.

4. Place trays in your dehydrator at 115F and dehydrate till dry and pliable. You are not making crakers, you are making a softer bread. But it has to feel dry to the touch not mushy. Depending on with dehydrator you have it can take a couple of hours to a day.

note: I fill my sandwich with raw mayo, tomato slices, marinated mushroom slices, avocado, romaine and sprouts.
