Black as Night Pomodoro E Arugula Pizza

So how beautiful is this pizza!

When we eat we don't just use our taste buds...

it's more than just buds on our tongues. There is a combination of how our food smells, how it looks, how does it feel in our mouth and the sounds when you bite it to it. So food should not only taste good but look great too. When food looks different it also intrigues us to dive in and please all of our senses with that one bite we take.


Black charcoal


Black charcoal is added to create this beautiful pizza. Charcoal has many benefits to it, it has been used as a purifier, for detoxing, poison control and so many other uses...the list can go on and on. ( If you are on any medication or supplements please consult your doctor before using activated charcoal in your diet. )


Black as Night Pomodoro E Arugula Pizza

pizza dough Ingredients

  • 1 package active dry yeast

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 3 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp. salt

  • 3 cups organic flour

  • 1 tbsp. activated charcoal

directions

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water in a small bowl, let rest until it's nice and frothy. Combine oil, sugar, and warm water slowly. If you are using a stand mixer, you can use the mixer bowl for this.

Step 2

Slowly combine flour, salt, and charcoal to your liquids in mixing bowl and fitted with a dough hook. Mix on low 8 minutes with mixer set setting 1 (low) and mix for about 2 min. Put your setting at 2 or 3 and mix until dough is smooth. If you feel your dough is too wet add more flour. Your dough should be pliable and firm.

Turn dough out onto a floured surface. Knead until smooth (about 2 minutes).

Step 3

Grease your bowl and the top of your dough with a little olive oil and let it sit and rest allowing it to rise to double it size.

Step 4

Punch down and let it rest again to double its size.( 2nd rising optional )

step 5

Divide dough into two equal amounts and let it rest until double its size.

no fuss cheese

  • a handful of cashews ( @1/4 cup ) soaked min. 2 hours

  • 1/4 cup cooked rice

  • 1 1/2 tbsp nutritional yeast

  • 1 tbsp. white miso

  • 1/2 tbsp. agar powder

  • 3 1/2 tbsp. tapioca starch

  • 1 teasp. maple syrup

  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup of mixed cold pressed and unrefined coconut oil

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • juice of 1/2 lime

  • salt to taste


directions

step 1

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

step 2

Pour ingredients into a saucepan. And over medium heat, cook until it gets smooth and gooey. Mix continuously do not make it burn.


Note: This cheese is also great to make macaroni and cheese or on a beautiful lasagna dish, it is fast and easy... no fuss cheese. Enjoy



*roasted cherry tomatoes

I container about 681 grams

  • crushed garlic

  • crushed rosemary

  • smoked salt

  • olive oil

directions

place all ingredients in a cast iron pan in a preheated 450F convection air oven for about 20 min. do not mix you want your tomatoes to stay whole.



*arugula salad ( topping )

  • olive oil

  • balsamic vinegar

  • lime juice

  • smoked salt
